DAHLONEGA, Ga. | The third-ranked University of North Georgia women's tennis team shut out No. 46 Georgia College & State University 7-0 in a Peach Belt Conference match Saturday (April 20) afternoon at the UNG Tennis Complex at Yahoola Creek.
The Nighthawks improved to 20-1 overall and to 5-1 in the PBC, while the Bobcats fall to 11-10 and 3-3. Both teams will compete in the PBC Tournament that starts Friday (April 26) in Columbus, Georgia. The tournament schedule will be released later by the conference office.
GCSU's
Ashley Bentz forced a third set in her match at No. 3 singles. She dropped the first set 6-4 before taking set two 7-5. Bentz lost the super tiebreaker 10-5.
