GREENWOOD, S.C. | Georgia College & State University won its third consecutive Peach Belt Conference women's tennis match Friday (April 5) afternoon with a 7-0 decision over Lander University at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.
The Bobcats improved to 11-7 overall and to 3-1 in the Peach Belt, while the Bearcats fell to 2-11 and 0-3. GCSUÂ will return to the Centennial Center Tennis Courts next Friday (April 12) at 2 p.m. for a PBC match against Columbus State University.
GCSU took a 1-0 lead by winning two of the three doubles matches by identical 6-1 scores. The Bobcats then swept all six singles matches in straight sets, dropping just 21 games.
