MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Georgia College & State University defeated the University of South Carolina-Aiken 1-0 in a women's soccer match Saturday afternoon at the Bobcat Soccer Field on Senior Day.
The Bobcats improved to 5-3-3 overall and 4-0-2 in Peach Belt Conference play, while the Pacers dropped to 5-4-2 and 2-3-1 in conference.
Abbey Eison scored the match's only goal at the 11:13 mark, assisted by
Sarah Mason and
Mackenzly Cheely.
GCSU held a 12-5 advantage in total shots, but USC Aiken edged the Bobcats 6-5 in shots on goal. Goalkeeper
Ella Hayes recorded six saves in the net for GCSU.
