AUGUSTA, Ga. | Augusta University outlasted Georgia College & State University in five sets in a Peach Belt Conference women's volleyball match Friday (Oct. 17) evening at the Christenberry Fieldhouse.
The Jaguars improved to 17-2 overall and to 7-0 in the league as they recorded a 25-14, 23-25, 25-15, 23-25 and 15-6 win over the Bobcats fell to 11-9 and 2-5. GCSU returns to action Tuesday (Oct. 21) with a 6 p.m. non-conference match against Coker University inside the Centennial Center.
Kaylee Weeks led the Bobcats with 15 kills, while
Lexi Polychrones had seven and
Avery Huyck contributed six more.
Alanis Bernis collected 23 digs, while
Riese Johnson (15) and
Milla Smith (13) also registered double figures.
Ile Bernis added nine more digs, while Weeks posted eight. Johnson distributed 14 assists while
Ile Bernis added 11.
Nya Warren led the Bobcats with five total blocks, while
Sierra Piland and
Emersyn Mullvain had three apiece.
