MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Three Georgia College & State University volleyball players registered double figure kills as the Bobcats defeated Fort Valley State University in four sets Tuesday (Oct. 7) evening in the Centennial Center.
The Bobcats, who improved to 10-6, captured the first two sets 25-23 and 25-17 before the Wildcats, who fell to 10-2, rallied to take set three 30-28. GCSU, which has handed the Wildcats both of their losses in 2025, came back to win the fourth set 25-18 to claim the victory.
The Bobcats return to action Thursday (Oct. 9) with a 6 p.m. Dig Pink match against Shorter University in the Centennial Center.
Kaylee Weeks tallied a career-high 19 digs as she clubbed .378 on 45 swings and committed just two errors. Teammate
Sierra Piland also registered a career high in kills with 13.
Avery Huyck also posted 12 kills, while
Nya Warren had eight more.
Riese Johnson collected 28 assists, while
Lexi Baum distributed 20.
Alanis Bernis led the Bobcats with 25 digs, while Johnson (17), Weeks (16) and Huyck (11) all finished in double digits.
Hayley Shepherd had five total blocks (3 solo, 2 assists) and Piland had four (1 solo, 3 assists).
