GREENWOOD, S.C. | Lander University defeated Georgia College & State University Saturday (Nov. 1) afternoon in a Peach Belt Conference women's volleyball match inside the Finis Horne Arena by scores of 25-12, 25-18 and 25-20.
The Bearcats improved to 16-7 overall and to 8-3 in the league as they won the weekend series, while the Bobcats fell to 12-13 and 2-9. GCSU returns to the Centennial Center Friday (Nov. 7) at 6 p.m. with a PBC contest against the University of South Carolina-Aiken.
Riese Johnson led the Bobcats with a double double - 10 assists and 10 digs.
Milla Smith added nine digs and four assists, while
Sadie Parkerson posted seven assists.
Lexi Polychrones tallied seven kills, while
Avery Huyck collected six kills, six digs and one total block.
Emersyn Mullvain contributed five kills and two total blocks.
