MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Alanis Bernis continued to rack up digs, contributing 17 of Georgia College & State University's 37; however, the Bobcats fell to the University of South Carolina-Aiken in three closely contested sets - 25-22, 25-19, and 25-23 - in a Peach Belt Conference women's volleyball battle Friday (Nov. 7) night inside the Centennial Center.
The Bobcats fell to 12-14 overall and 2-10 in the PBC, while the Pacers improved to 12-12 and 4-6. GCSU concludes the two-game homestand set against USC Aiken Saturday (Nov. 8) at 3 p.m., where the Bobcats will celebrate Senior Day to honor their six seniors.
Kaylee Weeks led the kill category with 12, while Lexi Polychrones followed up with seven and Nya Warren added six. Bernis' 17 digs led the Bobcats' with Milla Smith tacked on five. Sadie Parkerson played the assist game, collecting 17. Emersyn Mullvain assisted on five blocks. The Bobcats had eight service aces, with Warren leading the category with three.
