MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Georgia College & State University women's cross country runner Lorena Cazora has been named the Zaxbys Player of the Week.

Cazora, a senior from Rome, Italy, was the top Bobcat in the field of 174 competitors at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championships on the 6K course at the Wingate Cross Country Facility as she came in 36th place overall with a time of 23:41.1. The Bobcats finished in eighth place out of 24 teams with 273 points. GCSU had its best team finish in the regional since they finished in seventh place in 2018.
