GCSU selected fourth in PBC

AUGUSTA, Ga. | The Peach Belt Conference preseason coaches poll for women's cross country has been released.
 
Georgia College & State University has been picked to finish fourth in the league for the third consecutive year.
 
Flagler College was the top pick in the women's poll as they collected 10 first-place votes and 100 points, while Augusta University is second with 88. The University of North Georgia is third place with 80 points and was followed by GCSU (77), Lander University (60), University of South Carolina-Aiken (52), Columbus State University (44), Clayton State University (41), University of South Carolina-Beaufort (29), Middle Georgia State University (19) and Georgia Southwestern State University (15).
 
Flagler has won the last eight Peach Belt titles. GCSU finished in fourth place at the 2025 PBC Championship. It was the third consecutive fourth-place finish at the conference meet.  The Bobcats also finished in eighth place at last year's NCAA Division II Southeast Region Championship.
 
The 2026 PBC Championship will be hosted by Middle Georgia State University Nov. 7 in Macon, Georgia.

The Bobcats open the season Sept. 5 when GCSU competes at the Julius Johnson Invitational hosted by Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.
