FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. | Georgia College & State University fell to Young Harris College 61-49 in a women's basketball matchup Friday (Nov. 14) afternoon at the Shaw Athletic Center on the Emmanuel (Ga.) University campus.
The Mountain Lions opened their season at 1-0 while the Bobcats fell to 0-1. GCSU will face the host, Emmanuel University, Saturday (Nov. 15) at 4 p.m.
The game featured four lead changes and two ties before Young Harris pulled away in the second half.
Deshona Gaither led the Bobcats with 12 points, with
Sloane Vick and
Nylah Nuri following closely behind with nine apiece.
