Kaylee Weeks had 11 kills and hit .300 percentage as Georgia College & State University posted a 25-21, 25-22, 25-21 Peach Belt Conference women's volleyball sweep over Middle Georgia State University Friday (Nov. 14) evening at the Volleyball Gymnasium.
The Bobcats improved to 14-15 overall and to 4-10 in the Peach Belt, while the Knights fell to 6-20 and 0-14. The two teams will close out their regular seasons with a 3 p.m. match Saturday (Nov. 15). Both teams have secured berths in next week's PBC Tournament as GCSU will be the No. 5 seed, while Middle Georgia State will be the No. 6 seed.
Weeks registered 11 kills and only had two errors in 30 swings for the Bobcats as they hit .256 (42 kills and 12 errors in 117 swings) as a team in the match.
Camryn Carlton and
Lexi Polychrones had six kills each.
Riese Johnson collected 16 assists, while
Sadie Parkerson added 15 more. Parkerson paced the Bobcats with 15 digs, while
Alanis Bernis and
Milla Smith had nine apiece.
Nya Warren had four total blocks for GCSU, while
Hayley Shepherd had two.
