MACON, Ga. | Georgia College & State University ended its regular season with a 25-19, 25-20 and 25-14 Peach Belt Conference women's volleyball victory Saturday (Nov. 15) afternoon at the Volleyball Gymnasium.
The Bobcats improved to 15-15 overall and to 5-10 in the league, while the Knights fell to 6-21 overall and winless in 15 tries in the PBC. GCSU earned the No. 5 seed at the Peach Belt Conference Tournament next weekend in St. Augustine, Florida. The Bobcats will face No. 4 seed University of South Carolina-Aiken in a 7 p.m. first round match Friday (Nov. 21). More information on the tournament will be released Monday (Nov. 17).
Nya Warren led the Bobcats with eight kills, while
Lexi Polychrones had seven,
Camryn Carlton posted six, and
Hayley Shepherd and
Kaylee Weeks collected five apiece.
Riese Johnson and
Sadie Parkerson each distributed 14 assists, while
Milla Smith and
Avery Huyck had 10 digs each.
Alanis Bernis also tossed in eight digs, while Shepherd had three total blocks.
