MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Georgia College & State University and Eckerd College ended their regular seasons with a 1-1 draw in a non-conference women's soccer match Tuesday (Nov. 4) evening at the Bobcat Soccer Field.

The Bobcats improved to 7-6-4, while the Tritons fell to 7-5-4. GCSU, which has earned the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Peach Belt Conference Tournament, will host No. 5 seed Flagler College at 2 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 8) in a quarterfinal match.

Eckerd took a 1-0 lead on Jasmine Gallo's goal in the bottom right corner of the net off a double assist from Freija Aflenzer and Ava Costa at the 22:49 mark. GCSU rallied to tie the match at 1 with just over eight minutes before halftime when Ellie Fuller found Lillie Sheffield, who blasted the goal into the right corner from 17 yards out.

Neither team could find the go-ahead goal in the second half.

Eckerd led GCSU 15-10 in shots, but the Bobcats held an 8-5 advantage on goal. GCSU also held a 4-1 edge on corner kicks.

Ella Hayes and Kassidy Fortin each spent 45 minutes in goal for the Bobcats with each netminder tallying two saves apiece.
