COLUMBUS, Ga. | The University of Montevallo won four singles matches as they rallied for a 4-3 non-conference men's tennis victory over Georgia College & State University Friday (Feb. 28) afternoon at the John W. Walden Tennis Center.
The Falcons improved to 2-2, while the Bobcats suffered their first loss of the season and fell to 5-1. GCSU returns to the Centennial Center Tennis Courts for a 2 p.m. match against Young Harris College Tuesday (March 4).
GCSU took wins at No. 2 and 3 doubles to claim the doubles point and got wins from
Luka Sauer Jimenez (6-4, 6-1) at No. 2 singles and
Noé Villen (6-3, 6-1) at No. 3 singles to open a 3-1 lead, but the Falcons claimed wins in the final three singles matches to earn the match victory.
