COLUMBUS, Ga. | The No. 28 Georgia College & State University women's tennis team earned a 4-1 decision over No. 48 Augusta University in the first round of the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Tournament Friday (April 25) afternoon at the John W. Walden Tennis Center.
The Bobcats, who are seeded fourth in the tournament, improved to 15-5 and will next face No. 5 and top seed University of North Georgia in a 1 p.m. semifinal match. The Jaguars, who were the fifth seed, fell to 13-7.

Victoria Conde Vendrell took a 6-3 win at No. 2, while
Ashley Bentz and
Shradha Chhabra teamed up for a 6-3 victory at No. 3.

Rachel Black earned straight set victories in singles to expand GCSU's lead to 3-0. Santoro won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1, while Black took a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4. Augusta got a win at No. 5, but
Ashley Bentz clinched the match with a 7-5, 6-3 decision at No. 3.
