FORT VALLEY, Ga. | Georgia College & State University dropped the first set, but won the final three sets to take a 17-25, 25-23, 25-19 and 25-22 non-conference women's volleyball victory over Fort Valley State University Tuesday (Sept. 23) evening at the Health and Physical Education Arena.
The Bobcats improved to 7-4, while the Wildcats suffered their first setback as they fell to 4-1. GCSU returns to the Centennial Center Friday (Sept. 26) where the Bobcats open up their 2025 Peach Belt Conference schedule at 6 p.m. against defending regular season champions Lander University.
Camryn Carlton led the Bobcats with 12 kills, while
Lexi Polychrones added 11 and
Sierra Piland tallied nine more.
Alanis Bernis paced GCSU with 22 digs, while Polychrones reached double figures with 10.
Kaylee Weeks posted eight more.
Lexi Baum distributed 18 assists, while
Ile Bernis closely followed with 16.
Hayley Shepherd had four total blocks, while Carlton and Piland had two apiece.
