MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | After averaging 17.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in two victories, Georgia College & State University women's basketball's
Deshona Gaither has been named the Zaxbys Player of the Week.
Gaither, a senior guard from Cumming, Georgia, scored 14 points and five rebounds in the Bobcats' 65-60 win against Fort Valley State University before tossing in 21 points and five rebounds in their 61-51 Peach Belt Conference road win over Georgia Southwestern State University. Gaither shot 8-of-14 from the field against the Hurricanes as GCSU recorded its first league victory.
The Bobcats return to action Wednesday (Jan. 7) with a 5:30 p.m. road PBC contest against the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Georgia.
