Deshona Gaither has been named the Zaxbys Player of the Week.
Gaither, a senior from Commerce, Georgia, led the Bobcats to their first Peach Belt Conference Tournament final since 2025. Gaither, who was named to the All-PBC Tournament team, led GCSUÂ with 17.0 points and 8.3 rebounds in three games last week. Gaither had 26 points on 11-of-22 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds in its quarterfinal win over the University of South Carolina-Beaufort. She added 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting as the Bobcats disposed of the Universty of North Georgia in the semifinals and added seven points and seven rebounds in the championship game against Augusta University.
