AIKEN, S.C. | The University of South Carolina - Aiken used an early second half goal as the Pacers recorded a 1-0 Peach Belt Conference women's soccer victory over Georgia College & State University Wednesday (Oct. 7) evening at the USCA Soccer Stadium.
The Pacers improved to 4-7-1 overall and to 2-3-0 in the PBC, while the Bobcats, who are ranked sixth regionally, saw their unbeaten streak snapped at seven as they fell to 6-3-2 and 4-1-0. GCSU remains on the road Saturday (Oct. 10) as they travel to St. Petersburg, Florida, for a 5 p.m. non-conference match against Eckerd College.
USCA got the game-winning goal from Ruby Scott at the 48:32 mark off an assist from Olivia Pia and Katelyn Ensley.
GCSU held a 10-9 edge on shots, including a 3-2 margin on goal. The Bobcats held a 7-1 margin on corner kicks.
Mia Palumbo had three shots for the Bobcats, while
Lauren Dozier and
Kaisa Fagerström had two each.

KJ Wells and
Madelyn Heckathorn had one apiece.
Kassidy Fortin recorded one save in the GCSU goal.
