MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Texas A & M University - Kingsville won all six singles matches as they rallied past Georgia College & State University 6-1 in a non-conference women's tennis match Saturday (Feb. 28) afternoon at the Centennial Center Tennis Courts.
The Javelinas improved to 4-0, while the Bobcats fell to 5-3. GCSU hits the road Tuesday (March 3) when they travel to Young Harris, Georgia, for a 2 p.m. match against Young Harris College.
The Bobcats swept all three doubles matches to earn a 1-0 lead.
Rachel Black and
Victoria Conde Vendrell won 6-1 at No. 1, while
Alisa Chiang and
Lucy Kim recorded the same score in their win at No. 3.
Natalie Kirka and
Laura Almagro won in a tiebreaker 7-6 (5) at No. 2.
The Javelinas won all six singles matches, but Black (No. 1) and Chiang (No. 6) forced a third set in their matches.
