GCSU opens home schedule with 6-1 win over Golden Tigers

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Georgia College & State University opens its home women's tennis schedule at the Centennial Center Tennis Courts Friday (Feb. 6) afternoon with a 6-1 win over Tuskegee University.

The Bobcats improved to 2-0, while the Golden Tigers fell to 0-2. GCSU returns to the courts Saturday (Feb. 7) with a 1 p.m. match against Erskine College.

GCSU swept all three doubles matches to open a 1-0 lead. Natalie Kirka and Laura Almagro closed out doubles with a 7-6 (5) win at No. 2.

The Bobcats won the top five flights - Rachel Black, Victoria Conde Vendrell, Kirka, Almagro and Lucy Kim - to close out the victory.
