MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Middle Georgia State University won five of the six singles matches en route to a 5-2 Peach Belt Conference men's tennis victory over Georgia College & State University Saturday (March 28) afternoon at the Centennial Center Tennis Courts.
The Knights improved to 4-6 overall and to 1-0 in the Peach Belt, while the Bobcats fell to 4-8 and 0-2. GCSU returns to action April 10 with a 2 p.m. PBC home match against Flagler College.
The Bobcats claimed the doubles point to open up a 1-0 lead.
Chase Martin and
Jakob Andergassen won at No. 1 6-1, while
Finn O'Neill and
Reid Bissell recorded aa 6-3 decision at No. 3.
David Muñoz Botia earned the lone GCSU point in singles with a 6-1, 6-7 and 6-4 victory at No. 2.
