SPARTANBURG, S.C. | No. 40 Converse University picked up a 5-2 decision over Georgia College & State Universitty Saturday (March 7) afternoon in a non-conference men's tennis match at the Sally Abner Rose Complex.
The Valkyries improved to 4-3, while the Bobcats slipped to 4-3. GCSU returns to action Wednesday (March 11) when travel to Franklin Springs, Georgia, for a 3 p.m. match against Emmanuel (Ga.) University.
Chase Martin won his match at No. 1 singles 6-4, 7-5, while
Jakob Andergassen recorded a 6-4, 6-2 decision at No. 2.
Braxton Wright went the distance in his match at No. 3, but fell in three sets 4-6, 7-5, 0-1 (6).
