JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. | Georgia College & State University and Carson-Newman University battled to a scoreless draw in a non-conference women's soccer match Wednesday (Sept. 23) afternoon at McCown Field.
The Bobcats, who are ranked No. 9 regionally, extended their unbeaten streak to four matches as they improved to 4-2-1, while the Eagles, who are ranked 10th regionally, fell to 4-3-1. GCSU returns to Peach Belt Conference play Saturday (Sept. 26) when they travel to Bluffton, South Carolina, for a 1 p.m. match against the University of South Carolina - Beaufort.

Kassidy Fortin recorded one save as she notched her third clean sheet in a row and helped the Bobcats to their fourth shutout of the season.
The Bobcats outshot the Eagles 10-4, including a 4-1 margin on shots on goal.
Mackenzly Cheely and
Alayna Cobb each had two shots for GCSU, while
Madelyn Heckathorn,
Jenni Järventaus,
Darby Boran,
Mia Palumbo,
Kat Wilber and
Abby Bell had one shot apiece.
Each squad recorded three corner kicks.
