Haley Woodaz begins her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Georgia College & State University women's soccer program.
The Tampa, Florida, native comes to GCSU after playing four seasons at NCAA Division I's Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to the Dolphins, Woodaz played soccer at Carrollwood Day School, where she broke the school record with 106 goals in her career. She was Hillsborough County's leading goal scorer during the 2020 campaign. She was twice named to the all-state and all-region team as well as the All-Hillsborough County team during her time at Carrollwood. Woodaz also played club soccer for the FC Tampa Rangers.
Woodaz comes from an athletic family. Her dad Todd was drafted in the 46th round in the 1992 MLB draft by the Milwaukee Brewers and her mom Shannon was a junior Olympic qualifier in the 400-meter run and was a former soccer player at Belhaven University. She has two younger brothers - Wade and Drew - who both are currently linebackers on the Clemson University football team.
Woodaz graduated cum laude from Jacksonville with a bachelor's degree in health science and exercise science with a minor in psychology. Woodaz, who was on the President's List at Jacksonville, is working on her master's degree in health & human performance with a concentration in coaching and athletic performance.
