Bobcat Women's Tennis Slotted #7 In Region

>>>FULL RANKINGS

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA released the Division II Women's Tennis Region Rankings this week, with Georgia College Women's Tennis (8-7, 5-3 PBC) positioned No. 7 in the Southeast Region.

With a strong start to the month of April after Sunday's 7-2 win at USC Aiken, the Georgia College team finds itself seventh in the region, behind five Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools. Columbus State University takes the top slot, followed by Armstrong State University, and Flagler College third. Wingate University from the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) comes in fourth, with the University of North Georgia and Young Harris College coming in before the Bobcats. Of the five teams in front of Georgia College, both Wingate and Flagler are on the Bobcats' remaining schedule.

Rounding out the top-10 are Francis Marion University from the PBC, and a pair of SAC schools in Anderson University and Queens University.

The final version of this poll is used to determine the five at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament, beginning April 29. The region has three automatic bids, given to the tournament champions for the PBC, SAC and Conference Carolinas (CC), and the five remaining slots are filled by the final version of this poll.

The Bobcats are back in action today, April 7 at Clayton State University, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
