Bobcat Women's Basketball Battles in Exhibition Loss at Chattanooga, 70-42

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- The Georgia College Women's Basketball Team took a 70-42 loss from Division I University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Friday night in the Bobcats' second exhibition match up.

The Lady Mocs took the win over GC as they controlled the contest in three of four quarters. The Bobcats had two double-digit quarters including an 18-13 win of the fourth quarter.

Leading the offense for the Bobcats was freshman Cierra Foster (Canton, Georgia) with nine points. She went 4-of-7 from field-goal range with two assists and steals all of which led the team. Coming up one point behind her was classmate Alexa Geary (Calhoun, Georgia) with eight points, including a team high of 2-for-4 from behind the arc. Savannah Casey (Canton, Georgia) was the next leading scorer with seven.

GC was able to get under the basketball and beat the Lady Mocs for the rebound as the Bobcats out-paced Chattanooga 52-46 on the glass. GC's lead rebounder was Anaya Cone (Douglasville, Georgia) with a game-high nine.

GC had yet another great road exhibition experience, playing at head coach Ross Jolly's alma mater. Jolly graduated from Chattanooga class of 2011.

Up next, the Bobcats kick off the regular season in the Conference Challenge tournament hosted by Augusta University. The first contest for GC is Friday, Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. against Barton College.
