YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Amassing their highest point total of the season, the Georgia College & State University Women's Basketball team (6-0) stayed undefeated on the year with a 77-54 win over Emory & Henry College (2-2) Saturday at the YHC Classic, hosted by Young Harris College.

The Bobcats were led by 15 points from Harper Vick (Marietta) the senior guard also chipping in five rebounds and a team-high four assists.

Junior guard Myra Strickland (Duluth) put in 12 points, leading GCSU to a 37-12 advantage in scoring from the bench. Sophomore Alexa Geary (Calhoun) finished off the double-digit scorers with 10 points. She remains the lone Bobcat to net double-digit points in each of the six games this year.

The Bobcats continued to control the glass, out-rebounding the Wasps 52-29. The leaders for GCSU were sophomore Jada Warren (Norcross) with 11 in just 16 minutes of action, junior Dashaun Jackson (Miramar, Florida) with seven, as well as Vick and Savannah Casey (Canton) with five each. Eleven of the 15 Bobcats that saw action today had at least one rebound, and 13 of them scored.

The big quarter for GCSU was the second, taking the 10 minutes by a 21-12 advantage and stretching a one-point lead at the end of the first, to 39-29 at the break. Strickland led the charge in the second quarter with half of her 12 points.

The win moves the Bobcats to 2-0 against E&H all-time, the previous meeting coming in 1980 when both teams were members of the NAIA. The Bobcats start the season 6-0 for the first time since 2013-14, beginning that season on a 10-0 run.

The Bobcats are one of three undefeated teams left in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) this season and the only one with as many as six wins.

Vick now has 1,131 career points, good for 12th in school history. She passed Alyah McGriff (2018), Ashley Williams (2008) and Dalana Watson (2003) in today's action.

The Bobcats are back in action tomorrow, Nov. 27 at noon, finishing out the YHC Classic by taking on Tusculum University.
