Bobcats dominate Wildcats in home opener

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.- The Georgia College & State University women's basketball team tore through Fort Valley State University 90-68 Wednesday (Nov. 15) evening in their home opener in the Centennial Center. 

GCSU improved to 1-2 on the season, while FVSU fell to 0-1. The Bobcats are back in action Saturday (Nov. 18)  at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia, with tipoff set for 2 p.m.

The Bobcat offense had the hot arms scoring more than twenty points in three of the four quarters. 

There were five shooters in the double digits with freshman Hannah Cail leading the charge banking 20 points. Cail scored 15 of her points from behind the three-point arc. Alexa Geary came in hot off of the bench as the teams second leading scorer with 12 points going 50% from behind the arc. Ashyia Willis and Jaleah Storr both iced 11 points each as the team's third leading scorers. Miracle Parker rounded out the double digit shooters as she knocked down 10 points on the evening. Cierra Foster helped hoist the Bobcats to victory with her eight assists on the night. 

The big forward Jada Warren had an outstanding effort under the baskets as she led the team in rebounds with 10. Warren was consistent with five coming under each basket and she also added two blocks and eight points. Dashaun Jackson was the squads second rebound leader with eight with four coming under each basket. Storr had the third most with five.
