MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College & State University Women's Basketball team added four student-athletes to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, released Tuesday.
Harper Vick (Marietta) finished her Exercise Science undergrad with a 3.81 GPA and currently has a 4.0 in her Master's of Human Performance.
Fellow graduate student Cassidy Markle (Cumming) had a 3.71 GPA in her exercise science undergrad. The forward also has a 4.0 GPA in her Human Performance Master's program.
Economics major, Ashyia Willis (Gainesville) is a sophomore Economics major with a 3.71.
Classmate Alexa Geary (Calhoun) owns a 3.61 in Exercise Science.
In order to be eligible for the team, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and play in at least half of the team's games.
The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid March. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
