Midweek road contest falls in favor of Clayton State

MORROW, Ga. | The Georgia College & State University women's basketball team remained winless in road Peach Belt Conference play after 73-50 loss to Clayton State University Wednesday (Jan. 24) evening at The Loch. 

Georgia College fell to 9-8 on the season and 3-4 in the conference. Clayton State improved to 5-11 and 3-4. GCSU returns to the Centennial Center Saturday (Jan. 27) at 1:30 p.m. to take on Georgia Southwestern State University. 

The Bobcats had one leading scorer in the freshman Hannah Cail. She knocked down five buckets including three from behind the arc for 14 points. Ashyia Willis had the second most points on the night with seven points on three field goals. Miracle Parker had six points to round out the leading scorers with a majority coming on a perfect 4-for-4 free throw performance. 

Jada Warren lead the Bobcats in rounding with seven. She had four under the Laker basket and three on the offensive side of things. Dashaun Jackson and Parker both had five boards on the night good for the second most. Parker picked up four on the defensive side of the ball with Jackson bringing in two. Jackson had three offensive with Parker having her fifth as a offensive board.
