St. AUGUSTINE, Fla.- Georgia College & State University Women's Basketball bring home road contest with Flagler College, 60-45.
GCSU improved to 11-11 on the season and 5-7 in Peach Belt Conference play. FC fell to 10-12 and 5-7 in the PBC. Georgia College returns to action Wednesday, Feb. 14 on the road at The University of South Carolina-Beaufort for 5:30 p.m. tip-off.
The Bobcat offense started hot and stayed hot scoring double figures in all four quarters. They entered the half after a 12 point first and a 14 point second with a 26-18 lead at the half. Both teams came out of halftime with hot hands with a 38 point quarter collectively. The Bobcats iced 21 for a contest high.
There were three double figure scorers for the Bobcats in
Jaleah Storr,
Ashyia Willis and
Myra Strickland. Storr led the scoring draining seven field goals good for 17 points. Willis and Strickland both knocked down 12 points to round of the double digit scorers. Willis had four buckets from the field and four free throws. Strickland had a 50 percent shooting performance and 100 percent day at the free throw line.
Miracle Parker led the team in assists with four while Willis added three.
Jada Warren monopolized the rebounding for the Bobcats as the one player with double-digit rebounds. Warren picked up 13, 11 of which were on the defensive side of the ball. Parker had the second most with eight while having seven defensive boards.
Dashaun Jackson rounded out the rebound leaders picking up seven.
