YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College recorded a 6-1 non-conference men's tennis victory over Georgia College & State University Thursday (Feb. 8) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
The Mountain Lions improved to 2-2, while the Bobcats fell to 0-4. Georgia College returns to action Feb. 16 when they travel to Franklin Springs, Georgia, for a 2 p.m. match against Emmanuel (Ga.) University.
YHC took a 1-0 lead after winning two of the three doubles matches.
Jorge Robinson and
Braxton Wright teamed up to win the No. 2 doubles match 7-6 (4).Â
The Mountain Lions claimed five of the six singles matches.
Enzo Sergi recorded the GCSU win at No. 3 singles 6-4, 7-6 (2).
Sebastian Nuñez, Wright and
Reid Bissell saw their matches go the full three sets for the Bobcats.
