MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Columbus State University claimed a 6-1 Peach Belt Conference men's tennis victory over Georgia College & State University on a breezy Friday (April 12) afternoon at the Centennial Center Tennis Courts.
The fifth-ranked Cougars improved to 11-5 overall and 3-1 in the Peach Belt, while the Bobcats slipped to 4-12 and 0-4. GCSU returns to action next Friday (April 19) when they step out of conference play for the final time in 2024 as they host Auburn University at Montgomery at 2 p.m. The Bobcats will recognize their seniors prior to the match.
Despite not earning the doubles point,
Jorge Robinson and
Enzo Sergi registered a 6-4 decision at No. 2 doubles.
Braxton Wright claimed a point for the Bobcats with his 6-3, 7-6 (4) victory at No. 5 singles.
