GREENWOOD, S.C. | No. 14 Lander University recorded a 6-1 Peach Belt Conference men's tennis victory over Georgia College & State University Friday (April 5) afternoon at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.
The Bearcats improved to 10-2 overall and to 2-1 in the PBC, while the Bobcats fell to 4-11 and 0-3. GCSU returns home next Friday (April 12) to the Centennial Center Tennis Courts for a 2 p.m. league match against Columbus State University.
Noé Villen picked up the lone GSCU win as he won a three-set contest at No. 3 singles. He dropped the first set 7-5 before claiming a 6-2 win in set two. Villen won the match on a 10-4 super tiebreaker.
