MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Georgia College & State University men's basketball's James Nichols III has been named the Zaxbys Player of the Week ending Dec. 7.

Nichols, a junior forward from Deerfield Beach, Florida, led GCSU with 20 points as the Bobcats opened their Peach Belt Conference schedule with a 91-63 victory over Clayton State University. Nichols went 8-of-9 from the field, including 1-of-1 from long distance. Nichols, who went 3-of-3 from the free throw line, also pulled down four rebounds and distributed four assists.

GCSU returns to action Tuesday (Dec. 9) when they host the newest member of the PBC - Middle Georgia State University - inside the Centennial Center at 7:30 p.m.
