LAKELAND, Fla. | The Georgia College & State University men's golf team concluded play at the Matlock Classic hosted by Florida Southern College Tuesday (Feb. 11) afternoon.
The Bobcats carded a final round of 310 on the par 72, 7,090-yard layout on the Lone Palms Golf Course to complete the 54-hole tournament with a 15th-place score of 919. The University of West Florida won the event with a score of 837.
Billy Goddard was the top Bobcat in the field as he tied for 50th place at 224 after posting a 78 in the final round, while
Chase Blanton tied for 64th at 229 after a 75.
Andy Scott had the low round of the day for GCSU with a 74 and tied for 71st place at 233, while
Jack Hutcheson had a scorecard of 83 and finished in a tie for 76th at 235, while
Browning Benton came in 80th at 243 after an 86.
GCSU returns to competition Monday (Feb. 17) when they compete at the Saint Leo Invitational in Dade City, Florida.
