MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Georgia College & State University picked up a 6-1 non-conference men's tennis victory over Converse University Saturday (Feb. 15) afternoon at the Centennial Center Tennis Courts.

The Bobcats improved to 3-0, while the Valkyries fell to 1-3. GCSU hits the road Tuesday (Feb. 18) for a 2 p.m. match against Newberry College in Newberry, South Carolina.

GCSU took a quick 1-0 lead as the Bobcats earned swift victories and the No. 2 and No. 3 flights.

GCSU won five of the six singles matches to close out the win. Chase Martin and Rodrigo Pérez Crespo earned three-set victories. Martin picked up a 6-3, 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 1, while Crespo earned a 6-2, 3-6, 6-0 victory at No. 2.
