GREENWOOD, S.C. | The Georgia College & State University men's tennis team recorded a clean sweep of North Greenville University 7-0 in a non-conference match Thursday (March 6) played on the Lander University campus at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.
The Bobcats, who entered the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II Computerized Rankings at No. 50 this week, improved to 7-1, while the Trailblazers fell to 4-7. GCSU was to have played No. 48 Auburn University at Montgomery in Columbus, Georgia, Sunday (March 9), but that match has been postponed and will be rescheduled. The Bobcats return to the Centennial Center Tennis Courts Tuesday (March 11) when they open their Peach Belt Conference schedule with a 2 p.m. match against No. 37 Augusta University.
GCSU only surrendered three games as they earned the doubles point then swept all six singles matches to close out the match.
