AUGUSTA, Ga. | The Georgia College & State University men's giolf team wrapped up their 2024-25 season with an eighth-place finish at the Peach Belt Conference Championship Sunday (April 20) afternoon.
The Bobcats shot 300 on the par 72, 7,086-yard layout at the Forest Hills Golf Club to finish the 54-hole tournament at 903.
The University of South Carolina-Beaufort won the institution's first-ever PBC title as they shot 851. Since USCB isn't eligible for NCAA tournaments, the University of South Carolina-Aiken earned the league's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament with a second-place score of 859.
Matthew Rogers was the top Bobcat in the field as he finished in 27th place at 222 after a 73 in the final round. Seniors
Kam McDaniel and
Billy Goddard were the next two GCSU finishers. McDaniel carded a 74 to finish in 28th at 223, while Goddard tied for 35th at 230.
Andy Scott posted a 79 and finished in 38th at 231, while
Jack Hutcheson signed for a 78 and came in 39th place at 233.
