Wilson named to NCBWA, D2CCA all-region teams

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Georgia College & State University baseball pitcher Bradley Wilson has been named to a pair of NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region teams.

Wilson was named to the first team by the Division II Conference Commissioners Assocation, while he was a second-team honoree by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

Wilson, a senior right-handed pitcher from Irwinton, Georgia, went 9-2 this season with a 2.50 earned-run average. Wilson, who was named the Peach Belt Conference's Pitcher of the Year as well as being named to the All-PBC first team, is ranked 26th in NCAA Division II statistics in ERA, 30th in wins, and 48th in games started (14). Wilson led the conference in ERA and sixth in games started. Wilson was even more impressive in conference games during the regular season, lowering his ERA to 1.35 and going 8-0 against league opponents. Named the PBC Pitcher of the Week twice during the season, Wilson threw two complete games and was a part of two shutouts.

The Bobcats went 30-24 this season as GCSU finished in third place in the Peach Belt.
