DAHLONEGA, Ga. | Due to the forecasted heavy volume of rain and severe weather across the southeast, the University of North Georgia has relocated the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Southeast Regional No. 2 to Clemson University's
Duckworth Family Tennis Facility in Clemson, South Carolina.
The first-class facility has both outdoor and indoor courts.
The regional will remain scheduled as it was originally planned with the current goal of playing outdoor, just now all matches will be played at Clemson. Should the weather that is projected to move through the area dictate moving indoors, the regional will now have immediate access to indoor courts.
The Bobcats (15-6), which are ranked No. 29 nationally by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, will be making their 26th appearance in the NCAA tournament and first time since 2023.
GCSU will face No. 2 seed North Georgia (18-6), who are ranked fourth nationally, Monday (May 12) at 11 a.m. The other half of the regional has No. 3 seed Columbus State University (15-5) facing No. 6 seed Lees-McRae College (15-3). The Cougars, who are ranked ninth nationally, will face the Bobcats, who are ranked No. 42, at 3 p.m. Monday (May 12).
The two winners will meet in the regional final at 11 a.m. Tuesday (May 13). The regional winner will advance to the 16-team national championship field that begins May 21 at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
