Bobcats open 2026 campaign with 5-2 win over Tuskegee

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Georgia College & State University opened its 2026 men's tennis season with a 5-2 victory over Tuskegee University Friday (Feb. 6) afternoon at the Centennial Center Tennis Courts.

The Bobcats improved to 1-0, while the Golden Tigers fell to 0-2. GCSU continues the homestand Tuesday (Feb. 10) with a 2 p.m. match against Newberry College.

The Bobcats claimed wins at the top two flights to earn the doubles point. Chase Martin at Finn O'Neill took a 6-3 win at No.1, while Braxton Wright and Jakob Andergassen earned a 6-4 decision at No. 2.

David Muñoz Botia, Andergassen, O'Neill and Manoel Guimaraes earned straight-set wins in singles to close out the win.
