Emily Hobbs has been named the Peach Belt Conference Softball Player of the Week ending March 22.
Hobbs, a senior from Ochlocknee, Georgia, batted .571 (8-of-14) in five games last week for the Bobcats, who went 3-2 during the week. Hobbs, who was also named the Zaxbys Player of the Week, had a home run and drove in five runs to go along with four runs scored and a stolen base. Hobbs slugged .786 for the week and had a .533 on-base percentage.
The Bobcats face the University of South Carolina-Aiken Friday (March 27) at 6 p.m. in Graniteville, South Carolina, to open a three-game PBC series against the Pacers.
