Sydney Lancaster has been named the Zaxbys Player of the Week.
Lancaster, a senior utility player from Woodstock, Georgia, batted .556 (10-of-18) as the Bobcats went 3-2 last week. She hit two doubles and added a home run as she drove in eight runs. Lancaster scored three runs and had a stolen base. She slugged .833 for the week and had a .556 on-base percentage.
GCSU returns to the diamond Wednesday (March 18) when they travel to Florence, South Carolina, for a 3 p.m. doubleheader against 10th-ranked Francis Marion University.
