GREENWOOD, S.C. | No. 21 Lander University picked up a 6-1 Peach Belt Conference men's tennis victory over Georgia College & State University Thursday (March 26) afternoon at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.
The Bearcats improved to 10-2 overall and to 2-0 in the Peach Belt, while the Bobcats slipped to 4-7 and 0-1. GCSU returns to the Centennial Center Tennis Courts Saturday (March 28) at 1 p.m. when they host Middle Georgia State University in a PBC match.
Although Lander claimed the doubles point,
Braxton Wright and
David Muñoz Botia teamed up to win 6-2 at No. 2. Botia earned a point for the Bobcats as he recorded a 6-4, 7-6 (6) victory at No. 2 singles.
