GCSU wraps up regular season at West Florida tournament

PENSACOLA, Fla. | The Georgia College & State University men's golf team wrapped up their regular season Tuesday (March 31) afternoon at the Argonaut Invitational hosted by the University of West Florida.

The Bobcats shot 300 in the final round and finished the 54-hole tournament with score of 901 on the par 72, 6,903-yard layout at the Pensacola Country Club. West Florida won the tournament with a score of 839. three strokes better than Lee University.

Andy Scott shot an even-par 72 in the final round and finished in a tie for 53rd place at 223, while Andrew Lutjens carded a 75 and finished in a tie for 57th at 224. Chase Blanton signed for a 77 and placed 66th. Jack Hutcheson fired a 76 and was tied for 74th place at 230, while Matthew Rogers tallied an 80 and came in 81st at 235. Jacob Speece, who played as an individual for the Bobcats, came in 84th place at 239 after an 82 in the final round.

The Bobcats will take the next three weeks to prepare for the 2026 Peach Belt Conference Championship that will be held in St  Augustine, Florida, April 19-21 at the World Golf Village.
