DAHLONEGA, Ga. | No. 14 University of North Georgia picked up a 5-2 Peach Belt Conference men's tennis victory over Georgia College & State University Sunday (April 12) afternoon at the UNG Tennis Complex at Yahoola Creek.
The Nighthawks improved to 11-6 overall and to 3-1 in the Peach Belt, while the Bobcats slipped to 4-10 and 0-4. GCSU wraps up its home schedule with a 2 p.m. PBC match at the Centennial Center Tennis Courts against Columbus State University. The Bobcats will recognize their senior class prior to the match.
GCSU claimed wins at the top two singles against the Nighthawks.
Chase Martin won 7-6 (3) over No. 5-ranked Pedro Liborio at No. 1 before Liborio retired.
David Muñoz Botia won his match 7-6 (3), 6-5 at No. 2 before his opponent retired.
