AUGUSTA, Ga. | Georgia College & State University's Shipley Smith has been named the Peach Belt Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week ending Sept. 13.

Smith, a junior from Kennesaw, Georgia, was the top GCSU runner at the Queen City Invitational Friday (Sept. 11) as he came 35th place overall with an 8K time of 26.06.0, helping the Bobcats to a ninth-place finish out of 25 teams in the meet. Smith's time is the fastest in the league this season.

GCSU returns to action Sept. 25 when they compete at the Peach Belt Conference Preview hosted by Middle Georgia State University in Macon, Georgia, at 9 a.m.
