Madelyn Heckathorn has been named the Zaxbys Player of the Week.
Kearney, a freshman from Evans, Georgia, scored twice and added an assist in two matches last week. She had a goal against the University of Montevallo before scoring a goal and contributing an assist in the Peach Belt Conference opener at Clayton State University. She scored in the early moments of the second half against the Lakers before assisting on
Kat Wilber's game-winning goal with 50.2 seconds left that the Bobcats rally for a 3-2 win.
GCSU (2-2 overall, 1-0 Peach Belt) returns to action Wednesday (Sept. 16) at 7 p.m. when they welcome Anderson (S.C.) University to the Bobcat Soccer Field for a non-conference match.
